Day-to-Day Responsibilities and Role Details
The Feeder-Packer (3rd Shift) role centers on safely and efficiently feeding or removing cartons from production machinery. You’ll keep the machine beds filled with cartons and help ensure everything runs smoothly.
Duties include verifying and preparing pallets, loading cartons, and picking up finished items from conveyors for packing. You’ll also be tasked with checking for product quality and addressing any issues that arise on the line.
Expect to communicate with operators and forklift drivers, sort defective products as needed, and strictly follow safety rules. The role involves a combination of standing, lifting, and operating various tools in a production environment.
Shifts generally follow a full-time night schedule and can extend to overtime, including weekends. Attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability are key to excelling in this environment.
Mechanical skills and previous manufacturing experience are required. You’ll also need a high school diploma, GED or equivalent to be considered.
Pros of the Feeder-Packer (3rd Shift) Position

Cons to Consider Before Applying
The physical demands are significant. Continuous standing and lifting up to 74 lbs. may be a challenge for some. Safety gear is always required on the job.
Another consideration is the requirement to work night shifts and overtime, often on short notice, including weekends. This may impact work-life balance.
