Offering a fixed rate of $17.50 per hour, the job also provides provided shirts and an attractive benefits package. Both shift flexibility and rotating holidays are expected, adding some variety and requiring candidates to demonstrate dependability.

Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license and, where needed, a food handler’s permit.
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Food Transporter/Delivery Driver, you’ll start your shift by collecting orders and supplies from the staging clerk. You’ll load, transport, and deliver food, supplies, and other essentials to various service units, ensuring everything is handled safely and efficiently.
Your day involves following sanitation and safety protocols, unloading at destination sites, and keeping both hot and cold items at safe serving temperatures. You’ll interact with coworkers as you maintain standards and provide quality customer service throughout each delivery.
In addition to deliveries, you’ll return empty or rejected containers, keep your vehicle clean, and perform routine maintenance. You’re expected to handle other assigned duties as needed, demonstrating adaptability.
The role combines elements of logistics and customer service, making it ideal for those who enjoy an active, people-centered workday. It’s a great match for individuals who can manage time, remain organized, and work both independently and with a team.
Pros
One of the best aspects of this role is the straightforward pay structure: $17.50 per hour, with payment security and no commission worries. All required uniform shirts are provided, reducing your out-of-pocket costs.
Another highlight is the benefits package, open to both part-time and full-time employees. These include health, retirement, and special perks like pet and identity theft insurance—added incentives for long-term employment.
Cons
This job requires you to work during rotating holidays and alternate weekends, which might disrupt your personal plans. The requirement of previous box truck driving experience could limit some applicants.
The position can be physically demanding, as you’ll be on your feet, handling deliveries, and performing occasional maintenance tasks. If you prefer a desk job, this may not be suitable for you.
