Primary Job Responsibilities
As an Experienced Utility Locator, your day-to-day involves marking underground utilities and ensuring high-quality service. The job includes using specialized electronic equipment and interpreting site plans to identify utility lines.
You’ll be required to mark discovered utility lines using paint or flags and compile reports verifying completed locates. Each assignment must meet Promark-Telecon’s standards for accuracy and timeliness.
Team members also engage in research to analyze excavation sites, working in a combination of residential and commercial settings. Self-management is vital since you’ll often operate independently.
Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license, high school completion, and the ability to carry up to 15 pounds. Previous construction experience and ability to distinguish colours are advantages.
Intermediate computer proficiency and excellent communication skills are required. Candidates may also benefit from Confined Space Entry training.
